How to make a singlespeed mid-ride :p

Haven't been riding much lately so I took a spin at Wiss yesterday. There's a decent downhill section past the Indian statue with some rocks that protrude here and there.

A rock hit my derailleur and my ride came to a grinding halt with the derailleur split in two and tangled mess in the wheel. Started with gears; ended up as a ss.
